Easy Chicken Tikka on Stove top

Quick and juicy Stove top Chicken Tikka is an easy method of making restaurant style chicken tikka at home.

Ingredients

For marination:

  • 4 pieces Chicken Tikka cut
  • 4 tbsp Yogurt
  • 1/2 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1/2 tbsp Cumin seeds roasted & crushed
  • 1/2 tbsp Red chili powder or to taste
  • 1/2 tbsp Chaat masala
  • ½ tsp Whole Spice powder
  • 1/2 tbsp Coriander seeds roasted & crushed
  • 1/2 tbsp Salt or to taste
  • 1/4 tsp Orange food color or a pinch
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp Oil

For frying:

  • 4 tbsp Oil
  • Coal for smoke

Instructions

  • Make cuts on chicken tikka pieces.
  • In bowl,add yogurt,ginger garlic paste,cumin seeds,red chili powder,chaat masala,whole Spice powder,coriander seeds,salt, Orange food color,lemon juice, oil and mix well.
  • Now add chicken tikka pieces into the marinade ,mix well and marinate for 2-4 hours or overnight in refrigerator.
  • In a pan pour oil then add marinated Chicken and cook from both sides on high flame then proceed to slow cooking for about 15 minutes or until done.
  • Then put small grill on stove top and grill the chicken Tikka , simultaneously basting it with olive oil from all sides.
  • Then give coal smoke in a tighltly closed pan.
  • Serve with, tamarind sauce, green chutney, tomato ketchup, Onion slices and lemon wedges.Along with roti,bread,naan,pori or rice.
