A single bite of freshly made French Toast with a lot of hot melting Nutella coming out of it feels like a piece of heaven.

Stuffed bread slices, soaked in sweet egg mixture and fried until golden and crispy from edges. My family loves it! Cover it with fresh or frozen strawberries and serve it alongside thick cream, and you are done. Enjoy!

Recipe for Nutella Stuffed French Toast :

Since my early teens, I’ve been making homemade french toast, so I believe I can improve it tenfold by now. This tender french toast recipe will melt in your mouth. It gets even irresistible when slathered with butter and drenched with maple syrup!

This is a go-to weekend breakfast at my home. Family members, especially kids, wake up to the smell of vanilla French Toast flavor in the air.

Kids favorite Breakfast:

French Toasts are one of the kids’ favorites and easy to eat breakfast. I usually prefer to cut the French toast into Sticks for my kids as they become easy to eat, no-fork-required, and perfectly dunk-able. When dipped in thick cream, the sticks of soft, buttery, perfect vanilla bliss taste like heaven.

Whenever I make simple French toast for my toddler, my ratio is 1 egg and 1 slice of bread. I make sure that the bread soaks the whole egg as the egg is an important source of protein and very healthy for growing kids.

French toast is a great way to get your kids to eat eggs without them knowing.

How to serve Stuffed French Toast?

You can’t go wrong with a dusting of powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar and dripping pure maple syrup.

Freshly sliced bananas, strawberries, your favorite jam or marmalade, or blueberries are nice fruit additions.

For more dessert twist, drizzle on some homemade hot caramel sauce or chocolate, a dollop of whipped cream, or chopped nuts.

Different kinds of French Toast:

Breakfast is better with French toast! If you love French toast as much, I try this Caramel Apple French Toast Casserole, Creme brulee French Toast, or Almond-Crusted French Toast with Roasted Strawberry Syrup.

Best Bread for French Toast:

There are various options for the type of bread you would like to choose for your French Toast.

I normally make French Toast from white Bread slices, but if you want to go towards the healthier version or want to try something different following loaves of bread can be used;

  • Sourdough
  • Challah
  • French bread
  • Brown bread
  • White bread
  • Brioche
  • Whole grain bread
  • Cinnamon raisins bread

Tweak the Sweetness of your French Toast:

For the perfect sweetness of your French Toast you can use the below options in place of white sugar:

  • Maple syrup
  • Brown sugar
  • Dark brown sugar
  • Condensed milk
  • Honey

My secret Ingredient : ‘Condensed Milk’

The use of condensed milk by eliminating the sugar or honey helps make the liquid more of a “batter,” which will yield extra fluffy and delicious french toast.

Condensed milk is the secret ingredient! But I use this ingredient only on some special days or on cheat days, or whenever we crave an unhealthy version of French Toast.

Milk is also an important ingredient for a rich and creamy flavor. Milk with a higher fat content will make the batter creamier. Whole milk works great, and you can even add a little splash of cream if you want.
