Making of Beef Kebab:

This Beef Kebab is made from ground beef mince infused with some flavorful spices and some handy vegetables . They are given a oval _roll shape resembling a oval Patty or gola kebab. Just ready in minutes with a drizzle of oil.

beef kebab

A multitask-er mom that has to cook dinner with one hand while also holding baby with the other. Pardon me for the odd shapes of kebabs as they are made by using only one hand.

Types of Meat Mince:

You can use chicken , mutton , lamb and beef mince for these kebabs.Follow the same recipe, only replace the meat mince of your choice.

Homemade Chapati Bread:

For me what really takes this recipe over the moon is the chapati bread, which made this wraps a complete healthy homemade meal for my family , specially during these pandemic days. Instead of using frozen parathas or store bought tortilla or breads .It is so tasty, easy, delicious & soft. You can also use tortilla bread if you are in a rush.

Don’t have cold feet about making bread, as this recipe requires no yeast, almost no kneading & is cooked on the stove! SO NO EXCUSE!

Steps for making perfect Chapati bread:

1.Dough Kneading

The first and the foremost step is the dough kneading. It’s so easy and simple just mix all the ingredients in the wheat flour and start adding water gradually, mixing the dough simultaneously ,stop adding water once it looks stable or all the flour gets infused in water or it looks dough like form then knead for about 5 minutes or until formed and looks soft and manageable. Let it rest for 10 minutes.

2. Making Round Chapati

3. Frying the Chapati bread

Heat griddle ,Place one rolled chapati on the pre-heated pan & lower the heat directly to medium. Leave it for about 15 seconds or until the bottom has very small spots all over , pour some ghee or butter over it, then flip the chapati & bring the heat to high immediately. Leave it for about 20 seconds or until the bottom has nice big golden brown spots. Flip the chapati once more; it will puff immediately. Once puffed, take it off heat . If you want to make it more crispy then pour a little more ghee over it and fry for few more seconds and done.

Chapati

Wrap the hot chapati in a towel or put it in a hot pot until you finish cooking the other ones.

Repeat the above heat technique with each chapati.

Homemade Spicy Sauce:

This sauce is so easy and ready in minutes . In a bowl add ketchup, garlic Mayo, mustard paste , vinegar and some seasoning, mix well .

I also add in some chopped cabbage to give it a coleslaw look . You can also add your favorite veges like cucumber, carrots and onions etc.

Beef Kebab For KETO?

Since these are high-fat kebab, they can make a great keto main course. Make sure to reduce or skip onions and tomato. Use almond flour instead of gram flour as a binding agent. Also, add extra fat lamb fat pieces in the center of kebab when you roll it.

Beef Lettuce Wraps:

The BEEF Lettuce Wraps are one of the best keto-friendly options for all those diet parties. Just make beef kebab as mentioned here and wrap it in a big lettuce leaf with some salad and sauce and your tasty ,easy keto beef lettuce wrap is ready within no time.

Some people also add scrambled eggs in the raw mince. I just found it an extra step that doesn’t make a lot of difference in taste. If you wish, you can add it to meet your daily macros.

Assembling:

Once all your above steps are done and it’s time for assembling . The picture below makes it more clear how to assemble it.

  • Butter paper or aluminum foil
  • Chapati bread
  • Ice berg Lettuce
  • Beef Kebab
  • Spicy sauce.

Serve the wraps in lunch or dinner or as a snack at the brunch but dont forget to complete the meal time with the creamy dreamy lotus Biscoff dessert or the Blueberry Cheesecake recipe.

Pro Tips:

  • I use luke warm tap water not boiling water in the dough.
  • Try to roll out the chapati evenly & not paper thin so that it puffs well.
  • Rolling out the balls into circles at the beginning might be difficult so it can be any shape but it has to be smaller than your pan.
  • Once you place the chapati in the pan, you will bring the heat down to medium then during the 2 flips, the heat will be on high.
  • The above recipe works well with full whole wheat flour.
  • Chapati bread can be served with dips & stews or used to make wraps but not sandwiches. It is best to eat the chapati on the same day.
